Objective: To investigate the relationship among ambulatory blood pressure load, circadian rhythm of blood pressure and target organ damage (TOD) in aged patients with metabolic syndrome (MS). Methods: A total of 204 aged MS patients undergoing 24h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring were divided into control group (n=55, without TOD), cardiac damage group (n=43), brain damage group (n = 35), renal damage group (n=38) and multi-organ damage group (n=33). Their 24h, daytime, night blood pressure loads and circadian rhythm of blood pressure were analyzed.
