Background Profilin1, an ubiquitous actin binding protein, enhances the extent of actin polymerization together with other actin-regulatory proteins and deliver ATP-G-actin to the growing end of filaments to facilitate the assembly of globular-actin monomers (G-actin) into filamentous-actin (F-actin).
