Association study of gastrin-releasingpeptide receptor gene and attention deficit hyperactivitydisorder:A case-control association study in a China sample

摘要

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADI-ID) is considered to be the most prevalent psychiatric disorder ofchildhood. The gastrin-releasing peptide (GRPR) preferring type of bombesin receptor has been increasingly implicated in regulatingnormal brain function as well as in the pathogenesis of neurological and psychiatric disorders. However, few studies have beendesigned to ascertain the association between GRPR genotypes and ADHD.The aim of this study was to examine the relationshipbetween the GRPR genotypes and ADHD, in a Chinese sample of 120 children diagnosed with DSM-IV ADHD.Compared to the129normal control group, the frequencies of theGRPR genotype, haplotype, allele were no difference in the ADHD and the normalcontrol group (P > 0.10), and the genotypes were no difference between male and female (P > 0.25 ) .Aggressive behavior of CBCLis high significant in ADHD with CC/CC than without (P<0.05) .
