Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mandibular changes after treatment with the head-gear-activator. Methods: Ten children who were 9 to 12 years old,lateral cephalometric radiographs were taken at the pre-and post-treatment. Results: The SNB angle enlarge 1°(P<0.05)and ANB angle reduce 1.3°(P<0.05)on the means during the treatment. The length of mandibule (Ar-Gn) were significantly increased 3.2 ram(P<0.01 ).But the length of mandibular ramus and mandibular body unsignificantly increased 1.9 mm, 1.5 mm, respectively on the means after the treatment. Con-dusion: It's very effective to enlarge the mandibule with headgear-activator.%目的:探讨患者下颌骨经头帽肌激动器矫治前后的变化,为临床医生选择合适治疗方案提供理论依据.方法:选择经头帽肌激动器矫治的患者10例,年龄10～12岁,通过测量头颅侧位X线片12项下颌骨测量项目在矫治前后的变化,说明头帽肌激动器的矫治效果.结果:①角度变化,SNB角平均增大1°,ANB角减小了1.3°,两者矫治前后比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);②长度变化,下颌升枝(Ar-G0)、体部(G0-Me)的长度在矫治后,平均分别增长1.9mm、1.5 mm,但二者与治疗前比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);下颌总长度(Ar-Gn)在矫治后平均增长3.2 mm,矫治前后的变化有统计学意义(P<0.01).结论:头帽肌激动器能有效的刺激下颌骨的增长.
