从沉默到反抗——《猫眼》的格雷马斯理论解读

摘要

玛格丽特·阿特伍德是加拿大著名的诗人和小说家，被誉为“加拿大文学女皇”。她的小说《猫眼》(1988)一经问世就获得了很大的成功并引起了广泛的关注。《猫眼》细致入微的刻画了女主人公伊莱恩的成长历程，呈现了一个独立自主、自力更生的女性形象。虽然伊莱思在成长过程中经历了许多磨难和痛苦，但她最终从磨难和痛苦中成长起来，在男权社会的种种困境中完成了独立自主的转变，并原谅了那些对她造成伤害的人们。　　许多评论从女性主义等视域出发，分析了《猫眼》的主题思想、叙事手法及现实意义等。格雷马斯理论作为一种文学方法论在分析文本表层和深层含义方面亦不失为一种有效的方法。本文借助格雷马斯理论，从表层和深层视角切入，深入探讨《猫眼》中塑造的独立女性形象。一方面，从表层结构出发，通过行动元模型分析纷繁复杂的人物关系，进而揭示女性在男权社会统治下的困顿处境以及走出困顿处境的艰难历程。另一方面，从深层结构出发，运用格雷马斯语义矩阵来验证女性自我意识形成的过程。经过分析本论文作者认为女性是男权社会的牺牲品，她们的遭遇来自男性和其他女性的双重压迫。尽管女性在男权社会的压迫之下艰难求生，但她们通过自身努力最终赢得尊严并寻找到了自我。伊莱恩的成长过程折射出女性不断努力获得独立自主的心路历程。
