以译者能力培养为中心的ESL本科生应用文体翻译教材编写研究

摘要

翻译市场对应用翻译人才的需求越来越大,要求越来越高,从而对应用翻译教材的建设提出了更高要求。但目前这方面的教材远不能满足教学的需求,相关研究则更少,而且缺乏较系统深入的探讨。
　　 本文通过分析本科英语专业应用翻译教学的现状和现有翻译教学与翻译市场对译者需求之间的差距,提出建设以译者能力培养为中心的应用翻译教材的建议。
　　 作者发现,现有翻译教材过于强调两种语言间的转换和对比分析,理论与实践结合不紧密,培养目标不明确。根据《高等学校英语专业教学大纲》对翻译的要求,以及通过对应用翻译特征的分析和问卷调查,作者认为应用翻译教材的编写应该以译者能力培养为中心。接着,在分析翻译教学中普遍采用的三种课程设计模式后,归纳了编写以译者能力培养为中心的应用翻译教材所应该遵循的六条原则,即注重实践、以翻译理论为宏观指导、紧跟时代、吸收其他学科理论、强调文化意识、以市场为导向。最后,作者提出了建设译者能力培养为中心的应用翻译教材的几个建议:首先,应该将功能主义翻译理论引入应用翻译教材,因为功能主义翻译理论关于文本类型、翻译目的和翻译行为等理论与应用文体翻译联系紧密,对该类教材的编写有较大启示。其次,应该将翻译任务与译者能力培养为中心的应用翻译教材相结合。将翻译任务(主要是教学翻译任务和真实翻译任务)引入教材,能够让学生更全面地了解翻译实践中可能发生的各种情况,使学生的各项译者能力都得到提高,从而培养符合市场需求的应用翻译人才,并为翻译教学提供新思路,促进翻译学科的建设。
