If a ship in wave get into "supercritical" state, wave response can be reduced greatly. Seakeeping capability of conventional planing hull is poor. This article takes out methods to make a planing hull get into "supercritical state" from mechanism and also take out an engineering project-supercritical twin planing hull (STPH), theoretical and experiemntal investigation proves that the seakeeping capability of it is improved greatly without much resistance addition.
