PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, safe and high efficiency electric power generation system without reacting with sodium or the like, as an electric power generation system such as a Na cooled fast breeder reactor.;SOLUTION: A supercritical carbon dioxide gas turbine electric power generation system, in contrast to an electric power generation system such as a steam turbine and a high temperature gas turbine is an entirely novel high efficiency closed-cycle gas turbine electric power generation system, from a point of view that compression work is reduced by singularity of gas intermolecular force near the supercritical point. The compression work is reduced by half as compared with closed cycle high temperature gas furnace electric power generation, and cycle thermal efficiency increased by about 5% is obtained in a middle/high temperature region. Further, when compared with a light water electric power generation system in a low/middle temperature region that is an open Rankine cycle, because turbine efficiency is high although the compression work is large, similar thermal efficiency is obtained at the same turbine inlet temperature.
