Innovation Systems Approach to Knowledge Management

摘要

The knowledge and innovation based growth is increasingly understood as the main source of the well being of nations. Broadly developed system of innovation concept offers analytical framework of knowledge management for innovation at macro level. The studies in the field were attempting to reveal static elements of the system without greater attention towards the issues of the knowledge dynamics. However, the interactive learning and knowledge creation processes do not occur even if the single elements of the system exist. This implies the need of broader application of knowledge management issues in explaining the dynamics of innovation system. This understanding is crucial in shaping national innovation systems of small countries in transition.
