ESTIMATION OF LIFETIME FOR LAUNCHERS DEBRIS IN GEOSTATIONARY TRANSFER ORBITS

Nowadays, the space debris problematic is commonlyrnaccepted as an important issue by all the space nations.rnAmong these nations, France is acting intensely on thisrnproblematic and one article of the French SpacernOperations Act, that came into force in 2010, is entirelyrndevoted to Space Debris Limitation.rnAs France is a launching state since 1965, a certainrnnumber of artificial objects in near Earth orbit have beenrnidentified as French. As the main part of commercialrnmissions launched from Kourou is about GeostationaryrnTransfer Orbits (GTO), an important part of the Frenchrnidentified objects in space is located on GTO and isrncomposed of launcher elements. This article deals withrnthe lifetime estimation of these French objectsrnremaining in GTO.
