FIELD: space equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the space debris objects orbits from a spacecraft (SC) monitoring and determining methods and devices. SC is placed in orbit below the geostationary (GSO) one, equipping with the usual service systems, as well as equipment for communications with the ground point. SC optical system is placed on a turntable and directed to the GSO area. Viewing field along the GSO is formed by the optical system field of view turning around the SC orbital velocity vector into several discrete positions. In each of them obtaining the certain region near the GSO still image against a background of stars, turning the optical system around the SC orbit binormal with equal to and opposite to the orbital angular velocity. Turning to the next discrete position is performed with the average angular velocity, dependent on the retargeting time and of the optical system instantaneous field of view vertical width.;EFFECT: technical result is in reduction in the number of observation SC to one and facilitation of the space debris objects selection.;1 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
