Mastertool a New Era in Phototooling

Mastertool - A new era in phototooling An inquiry was held under more than 75 leading PCB manufacturers. From that we distilled the wish list for the ideal phototool. This wish list ranked: dimensional stability, scratch resistance, high Dmax and low Dmin, excellent line sharpness, ecological justified and consistency. With these wishes in mind Agfa developed a new phototool, called Mastertool. Mastertool because it is the Master phototool. Mastertool consists of a 175 micron thick PET base. The backside is coated with a, gelatin free, permanent antistatic layer. This layer guarantees a problem free film transport and prevents dust particles from attracting to the film. The image layer is a 0,3 micron bismuth layer. The image layer is protected with a 20 micron PET overlay.
