Relic Conservation by The RichardS Barrier and underground disposal of radioactive materials

摘要

This article introduces the Richards Barrier,a concept used in ancient burial for relic conservation and in modern engineered systems for isolating hazardous materials from the environment.The article includes the description of the barrier functions and mechanisms to divert water,the previous research work,where the burial practice has been discovered,and how it could serve as the archeological analogue for nuclear waste geological disposal.
