Efficient Measures of Port Developments by Remodeling Techniques

A port is remodeled to favorably respond to increasing cargo volumernand meet citizens’ needs with water-friendly facilities. For an efficientrnand reliable remodeling project, I divided remodeling concept into fourrnon the basis of survey and analysis of case studies, domestic andrnforeign: Redevelopment, Rearrangement, Renewal and Repair. Irnresearched existing facilities, classified the facilities to be remodeledrnand suggested remodeling direction by regions. I also exploredrnremodeling-related regulations and proposed solution to their problems.rnLastly, focusing on renewal, I analyzed its economic implication on arnquay wall with B/C, and a breakwater with VE/LCC as it is difficult torncalculate its economic plus and minus. As for comprehensive economicrneffects, further research is required by each remodeling concept alongrnwith improved regulation to secure a support system and diversernresources to activate port remodeling.
