摘要

In this paper we present an analytical method for fish swimmingrnlocomotion mechanism based on image sequences. First the silhouetternof a fish body is extracted, and then an energy function is employed tornobtain the skeleton of the fish body automatically. By using a splinernbased curve fitting technique to fit the data above, we can find out thernlocomotion mechanism of fish and establish an accurate and practicalrnmathematical model of fish kinematics. The experimental results showrnthat the method can obtain more precise data without any additionalrnrestricts such as environment or object compared with previousrnmethods, and the model is more appropriate.
