In this Paper, a novel flame retardancy polyacrylonitrile macromolecule was synthesized by copolymerization with the raw material of polyacrylonitrile and an organic compound with phosphorus and sulphur. By changing the ratio of the two kinds of monomer. the flame retardancy polyacrylonitrile polymers with different percentage composition were prepared. The structure thermal and flame retardancy properties were characterized by FTIR spectra, DSC curves, SEM photos and LOI data. The results show the structure of the copolymer is random arrangement; the thermal and flame retardancy properties of the copolymer are preferably.
