Experimental studies, Monte Carlo simulations, and analytic models show that some important characteristics of hopping transport, though being strongly dependent upon energetic distribution of hopping sites are not, at least in equilibrium, particularly sensitive to the concentration of hopping states N or/and to the localization radius a (Ries et al. [1], Movaghar et al. [2], Baessler [3], Arkhipov and Bassler [4]). In particular, the activation energy E_a for the equilibrium carrier mobility μ and diffusrvity D at weak electric fields do not depend upon either N and a, whereas at strong electric fields the value E_a becomes dependent upon the localization radius a but remains independent of the concentration N (Marianer and Shklovskii [5], Arkhipov and Bassler [6]).
