Several efforts have been studied to benefit from sun radiations and convert it to another form of energy. Solar energy supplies clean and sustainable source of energy for future generations. The challenge, however, relies on developing a technology that utilizes this vast amount of energy and convert it by an economical and efficient way. Whereas solar energy technologies such as silicon photovoltaic cells lead the market, they suffer from the low efficiency of solar energy harvesting. One option to minimize the cost in solar energy generation systems is to concentrate solar radiations in an effective way. Concentrating photovoltaic system (CPV) can be used to concentrate direct radiation only. Limited options are available to concentrate diffused radiations.
