Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is one of the promising technologies to fulfill the objectives of 5G networks. D2D communication increases network throughput especially in indoor/local communication by reusing the resource of cellular users (CU). The D2D pair reuse the CU resource so that they create interference to each other which resultant throughput will going to be degrades. Therefore, in this paper we propose a genetic algorithm (GA)-based resource allocation scheme for D2D communication for 5G networks. In this scheme, we initially generate the chromosomes where each chromosome consists of genius. Further, measure the fitness function of generated chromosomes and select the best chromosomes based their fitness value. Then we apply 2-point crossover and mutation is performed over crossover chromosomes. The BS allocates the resource block to based on fitness value. The performance analysis has been done in Matlab which verify our scheme.
