Aging process sewers pose a potential risk to the environment due to the materials they convey. The DuPont Camden Fibers Plant located in South Carolina recently rehabilitated their process sewers and manholes in-place using a new dual-contained HDPE technology. Many of the design problems associated with no-dig dual containment were resolved by using an innovative technology from Germany. Trolining technology develops its strength from a ring of structural grout captive between two thinwalled sheets of HDPE, while using a separate thin, studded HDPE sheet to afford simple, economical leak detection.
