Synthesis of carbon nanofibers (CNFs) by catalytic CO disproportionation over ultra-fine Fe3O4 catalyst under different H2 concentrations is investigated. Compared with the process in the absence of H2, addition of 4.17% H2 in the feed maximum growth rate increases with the increasing H2 concentration in the range of 4.17% to 25.00%, but decreases when CO concentration is further increased. The morphology of the synthesized CNFs changes from twist to helical, then to straight as H2 concentration is increased from 0% to 29.17%.
