Dynamic Laser Speckle Technique to Assess the Drying Time of Asian Paint on Plywoods

In the present paper drying time of Asian Paint coated on three plywoods Archidply, Greenply and Centuryply have been studied separately using dynamic laser speckle technique. Two image processing algorithms Inertia Moment and Absolute Value of the Differences have been used for quantitative measurement of drying time of the paint. Comparative studies have revealed that the average drying time of Asian Paint is minimum on Greenply and maximum on Centuryply. Quantitative results show some remnant activities present in three plywoods without paint and with paint coated on them has completely dried off. Time History of Speckle Pattern has also showed remnant activity of Asian Paint after completely drying.
