The article is representing the study of the adhesion strength of the antifriction film coatings applied to multilayer plain bearings. The process of formation of the antifriction film coating is represented. The experiment to determine the adhesion strength of the antifriction film coating is considered. During the experiment, there were used a number of samples of various roughness, on which was applied the antifriction film coating. A qualitative assessment of the adhesion strength of the coating to the main antifriction layer was carried out. There are formulated the conclusions on the antifriction film coating adhesion strength depending on the surface roughness and the preliminary treatment of the main antifriction layer.
