This paper investigated a Genetic Algorithm for parallel batch processing machine to reduce the tardiness and consumption of power charges. In manufacturing industries, a multiple type of jobs are manufacturer in a batch processor machine at a time. For every year, the large amount of the energy is used in manufacturing industry and recently the consumption of electricity charges has been increased. The main aim is to reduce the makespan, minimize the power charges and a production efficiency measurement for the purpose of the environment. In this paper, a mixed integer programming model is formulated. The problem has been solved effectively using the Genetic Algorithm. The performance measure has been analyzed for comparing the various types of the algorithms.
