摘要

The Lidar In-space Technology Experiment (LITE) was flown on the space shuttle Discovery in September 1994. We report here some of the features observed in biomass burn plues over South America, Africa, and outflow from Africa. In addition, we report multiple scattering observed in the boundary layer over the eastern United States and corroborated by simultaneous correlative measurements made using the NASA Langley airborne UV DIAL system.
