In order to forecast the quality and distribution of sandy reservoirs within structural and lithologic traps in the Neocomian clinoform complex, 3Dstratigraphic modeling has been performed in addition to conventional geological and geophysical interpretations. The obtained results allow to improve the prognosis of lateral spatial extent of sandy reservoirs and the communicability between them. Lithostratigraphic trap occurrence can be predicted and related to the specific sedimentary supply (progadational or agradational) caracterizing each of the main clinoform sequences. Resulting sand/shale maps were compared with NTG maps obtained from logs data interpretation. Refined NTG maps were built and used to define the porous volume available for storage of HC in traps (lithostratigraphic and structural), the carrier bed distribution and their impact on the migration pathways. Ultimately, this depositional environment reconstruction was used to model the HC charge from the regional source-rock Bazhenov toward the Neokomian complex.
