摘要

Pentafluoroethylketone (-COC2F5) is one of the useful fluorinated functional groupsfor the development of pharmaceuticals and bioactive compounds.1 Tetrafluoroethylene(TFE) has been recognized as an ideal feedstock chemical in fluorine industry.It iswell-known that TFE reacts with several metal fluorides to generate nucleophilicpentafluoroethyl species which can be employed for nucleophilic reactions using variouselectrophiles.2 Although catalytic pentafluoroethylation of perfluoroalkyl carbonylelectrophiles using TFE has been reported,to the best of our knowledge,the reaction ofaromatic acyl electrophiles under catalytic conditions has not been reported.
