A study to determine the estimated species richness was conducted at Fraser's Hill by using leaf beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) as targeted species. Sampling was done from December 2016 to April 2017 at three different altitudes; higher, middle, and lower ground. Samples were collected by sweeping net which starts at 9.00 a.m. and ends at 2.00 p.m., one day for each altitude. A total of 483 individuals and 36 species were successfully collected in this study. Shannon diversity index (H') shows that there is no significant different (p=0.05) between the altitudes and months of sampling. For estimator, Chaol indicates the closest number of expected species to the actual data by only one species, while ICE gives five more species expected to be found. Nevertheless, Chaol is just claimed to be the best estimator for this study, different study may have different best fit estimator.
