Emission properties of Ir(III) complexes with structural change of cyclometalate ligands

Iridium(III) complexes with phenylpyridine as a cyclometalate ligand showed highly efficient phosphorescence at room temperature and are attractive in application of light emitting materials. Over the past decades, such iridium(III) complexes have been actively investigated.
