Synthesis and Metal Complexation Behavior of Benzo-Annulated Naphthyridine Derivatives with Phosphine Moieties

Binuclear transition-metal complexes having a metal-metal bond have attracted much attention because of the unique structure and catalytic properties derived from the bimetal center. 1,8-Naphthyridine derivatives with coordination sites at the 2,7-positions tend to form the metal-metal bonded complexes by the reaction with certain metal species.
