摘要

A dual-band printed slot antenna designed and optimized by particle swarm optimization for wireless local area network operation has been proposed in this study. The proposed antenna consists of folded dual slots operated at the half-wavelength mode and a T-shaped strip which excites the dual slots. The optimized antenna has a compact substrate size of 40.0 mm by 15.0 mm only. Optimized results show that the proposed antenna covers the WLAN operating bands at 2.45 GHz (2.4 GHz - 2.484 GHz) and 5.25 GHz (5.15 - 5.35 GHz).
