Impact of placer mining on suspended sediments in rivers of the Kamchatka Peninsula (Russian Federation) and the Selenga River basin (Mongolia) and its modeling

Placer mining are associated with river valleys. Most of these regions are situated in remote, sparsely populated areas, where the stream gauging network is underdeveloped, thus wise the study of placer mining impact remains challenging. The fieldwork was carried out in the Selenga (Mongolia) and the Vyvenka river (the North of Kamchatka, Russia) basins near the placer mining.
