Summary of privacy protection on social networks

Online social networks are now becoming increasingly popular. Social network makes the contact between people easier, but also poses a risk to the personal information. In social network, some personal information will be shared between users, for example, the user's contacts, photos, and so on. This information is stored in the server social networking sites. The servers also accept access from all aspects, which pose a risk to the user information. At the same time, Server provider is also possible to use user information for commercial behavior. Some methods to protect user information are summarized in this paper. It includes traditional protection methods, the new social network protocol, and a distributed network introduction.
