The design of dam safety monitoring intelligent machine system based on internet of things

This paper presents the design of dam safety monitoring intelligent machine system based on the mode of internet of things, aiming at the low level of equipment, internet and intelligence, poor stability, lagged data transmission, and data loss, etc., in the status of dam safety monitoring system. The system is integrated application of technologies of wireless sensor network, embedded computer, radio frequency identification, wired (wireless) data communication, as well as electronics and information technology, and hydraulic technology. The system provides several functions such as data acquisition, data transmission, data storage and processing power management, data display, etc. Firstly, the monitoring data is collected by timing trigger or trigger at real time, then it is transmitted and sent to the dam's server by wire or wireless, finally, transferred through public network or water conservancy private network to central database for the dam of the province. The system has been applied in actual dam safety monitoring, and the results show that: the stability, reliability, and the experiments in real time of the program all meet the design requirements, with its network-off rate greater than 95%, and the data integrity rate greater than 98%.
