We have synthesized a number of organotin-containing polymers for various reasons. 1-34 Many have shown outstanding anticancer 6-12,19- 34 and antiviral agents properties 13-16,22 as well as the expected antibacterial properties. 1,2,4,5,17,18 Recently we have coupled biologically active Lewis acids, here organotin dihalides, with various Lewis bases in hopes that there is some synergetic effect realized because of the presence of both biologically active reactants. In general, the ability to inhibit cell growth with respect to the alkyltins is Bu>Pr>Et>Me with the octyl, and laury essentially inactive. 6-12,19-23
