There has been a lot of research conducted about manufacturing of carbon materials, activated carbon, activated carbon prepared from coal, from bituminous coal etc. using different physical and chemical methods. These materials have been broadly applied in various processes. Few works were published relative to coal material to be used in preparation of reverse osmosis membranes. The composition from the blend of cellulose acetate and powdered coal by weight proportions (1:1.5) same casting solvent (acetone) and casting conditions were tested [1].
