摘要

Infections with Vibrio (Listonella) anguillarum are a major problem in marine larviculture. It is introduced with incoming ocean water, it thrives well in the nutrient-rich cultures of live feed, grows to high concentrations, and infects the larvae.Phaeobacter gallaeciensis and other roseobacters are naturally associated with macro- and microalgae, and are commonly found in marine aquaculture facilities. P. gallaeciensis can eliminate V. anguillarum in laboratory settings by producing the antibacterial compound tropodithietic acid (TDA).
