摘要

Contamination of aquatic system with "traditional" pollutants as heavy metals or persistent organic pollutants (POPs) is well known and documented. Major sources of these compounds are usually somehow connected with industrial activities (PCBs, PCDD/Fs) or agriculture use (DDTs). New pollutant groups have different sources, behavior and transportation mechanisms. Polar pesticides as triazines, chloracetanilides, urea derivates etc. are still used in agriculture but some of banned compounds can be found in sewage due to their usage as bactericides, algicides, wood impregnation. Together with pharmaceuticals create wide groups of compounds introduced to aquatic ecosystem continuously via sewage treatment process.
