Organic/inorganic materials have received growing attention lately due to the combination of their excellent properties.In this study,mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) were successfully prepared by surfactant-tempting method and used as carriers for loading Doxorubicin Hydrochloride (DOX),the prepared MSNs were then encapsulated into Poly (L-lactic acid) (PLLA) nanofibers via electrospinning.These PLLA/MSNs composite nanofibers containing different MSNs contents,a novel drug delivery system,were therefore successfully prepared.The results indicate that the surface morphologies of composite nanofibers were smooth when MSNs content was 2 wt%,5 wt%,10 wt%,while their surface morphologies were irregular as MSNs content increased to 30 wt%.MSNs were encapsulated into PLLA nanofibers when MSNs content was 2 wt%,5 wt%,10 wt%.The average tensile strength of 10 wt% PLLA/MSNs composite nanofibers could reach 4.74 MPa.Thus,the prepared MSNs containing nanofiber is particularly promising for drug delivery applications.
