CRANBERRY AND GRAPE SEED EXTRACT AS AN INTRACANAL MEDICAMENT DURING ENDODONTIC THERAPY

Cranberry extract and grape seed extract rich in proanthocyanidin are known to exhibit anticariogenic effect and effective against oral pathogens like Streptococcus.mutans,Prophyromonas.ginivalis,Candida albicans,urinary tract Escherichia coli,and urinary tract Enterococcus.feacalis 13.However,the effects on oral Enterococcus.feacalis has been not reported.Hence the aim of the present study is to evaluate and compare the antibacterial,antiinflammatory activity,micro-hardness and fracture resistance of cranberry extract and grape seed extract on the teeth.
