摘要

Environmental streptococci are a common cause of bovine mastitis and continue to be a challenge for mastitis control programs. Streptococcus uberis (S.uberis) and Streptococcus dysgalactiae (S. dysgalactiae) can spread through environmental, contagious or mixed transmission in dairy herds (Zadoks et al., 201 l).The characterization of their pathogenic potential through the identification of virulence genes (VGs) is relevant to determine the effects on the host, and to understand more their epidemiological characteristics. Whole genome sequencing analysis (WGS) allows the understanding of the function of virulence markers in the interaction with the host.
