Swimming is one of the most popular elective programs in college physical education at colleges and universities, especially in breast stroke. However, the teaching quality and teaching efficiency of the breast stroke are not high. The main reason for the poor teaching effect is that the teaching methods and means are too dull, they lack positive guidance to students and improperly use targeted teaching methods for the core technical actions. By studying the teaching results of swimming lessons in Baotou Teachers College, we find that the application of targeted teaching methods can greatly shorten the time for students to master breast stroke techniques, effectively improve teaching efficiency and improve the teaching quality of breast stroke.
