摘要

Water shortage is encountered for increasing number of cases, due to climate change phenomena, population growth and urbanisation. Agriculture is the one of the main water use sector, which is why improving the efficiency of irrigation can be a sustainable solution. In this paper are presented the results of the statistical analysis performed with SPSS software. The irrigation data at Romanian level were used as dependent variable, while indicators from satellite and meteorological data were used as predictors in multiple hierarchical regression. Factorial analysis and descriptive statistics of the predictors was used to investigate the evolution of indicators. These methods and data can be used to facilitate efficient use of water for irrigations.
