Adsorption has proved as a promising process for the valuable trace component isolation. Unfortunately the process reported commonly in laboratory scale. In order to scaling - up process, the information on fundamental parameters involved must be provided. In this study, a quantitave description will be arranged for desribe Oryzanol isolation from rice bran oil. Isolation of oryzanol from rice bran oil was conducted in laboratory scale of silica gel - column adsorption. A mathematical model has been developed for describing the effect of volumetric rate to the adsorption column performance and verify through visual inspection. It turned out that the model proposed can be quantitatively described the adsorption phenomena. Furthermore, the values of the parameters for the simulation were also determined.
