The present study investigates the differential effects of two language learning conditions, foreign language learning at home and at a non-English speaking country on the oral skills of two advanced Chinese learners of English. The participants' English oral competence is assessed through quantitative measures of Fluency and Complexity. The results reveal that cross-linguistic influence (CLI) hinders SA learner's oral fluency compared to All learner, while maintain complexity. These findings provide evidence for CLI on the dimension of oral production.
