The analysis of LPI in Fujian province based on quantile regression

As the China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone was set up in April 2015, the economic developed rapidly in Fujian province. While LPI has been extensively investigated, the LPI in Fujian province is relatively unexplored. This paper studies the indexes of LPI both in China and Fujian province between April 2014 and November 2016. The research focuses on the trend of LPI both in China and Fujian province, and elucidates some of the most influential indicators of LPI in Fujian province based on quantile regression. The findings of this study show that there are two possible implications for LPI in Fujian province. The first implication concerns the indexes of LPI in Fujian province which are smaller than the indexes of LPI in China. For the second one, we discuss the sub-indicators which have a significant impact on LPI in Fujian province, and the indicators include business volume, new orders, capacity utilization, average inventory and employment. In the end, we put forward some suggestions.
