Introduction to the 4th International Workshop on Data- and Artifact-Centric BPM (DAB 2015)

摘要

Two key perspectives on business processes are control ow and data. Traditionally, these two perspectives have been treated in isolation: control ow is typically managed by a business process management system while data is managed by a database management system. Each of the two perspectives has attracted wide interest both in academia and industry over the past years, resulting in an abundance of methods and tools that have been designed to assist with the management of processes and data. Yet, approaches that address both process and data management in a holistic way are lacking.
