Modern society is an information society. With the continuous development of science and technology in China and the continuous popularization of information technology, the use of modern information technology in the process of college English teaching has become the major professional development of English teachers in colleges and universities. The modernization of college English teaching methods and the information networking of English teaching resources have far-reaching significance for the professional development of college English teachers. This paper will analyze the application and development of new information technology in the professional development of college English teachers.
