Before 2020.12.31, the next generation of emission regulations will be implemented nationwide in China, covering light-duty, heavy-duty, nonroad and marine applications. In-use compliance is the major focus. "Information Disclosure" to replace "Type Approval"; Manufacturers to take full responsibilities; In-use test to cover much wider ambient conditions; PEMS, OBD, remote sensing, telematics and visual inspection; Fuel and oil qualities are the key enablers for engine and vehicle to be compliant to emission regulations for the full useful life; National Clean Diesel Campaign; Diesel vehicles, machines and vessels are the focus Retrofit and replacement; NEV safety issues are being address - multiple regulations will be developed in 2019.
