In this presentation we will demonstrate how advanced imaging technologies are used to evaluate filter performance for a range of various industrial applications; ranging from produced water to a study dealing with jet fuels. Imaging technologies is a constantly advancing field and has been proved to be very useful method for evaluation. The first case study will look at a coalescing filter for a produced water application, for a client who was looking to improve process separation downstream. Imaging technology was used to assess the current installed equipment to see how it could be improved by looking at the effect of the flowrate and to determine its ripening time.
